Tutors are verified before they can teach.

Every applicant goes through the same review and checks before they can be approved for teaching.

  • DBS status

    We check they have an up to date DBS record that allows them to work with children. This will be displayed on their profile.

  • Qualifications and teaching experience

    We confirm whether they have a Qualified Teacher Status, and upload this on their profile.

  • References

    We ensure every tutor has a great reference to recruit good characters.

Before you join

When are you opening?

We are reviewing our first group of tutors now and will open to families once enough of them are approved. We would rather open with tutors we are confident in than hit a date. Join the list and you will hear from us the day it happens.

How much will it cost?

Each tutor sets their own hourly rate, and the price shown on their profile is the total you pay per hour - there is no separate booking fee or membership charge. Lessons shorter or longer than an hour are priced in proportion. You will be able to search for tutors by inputting a maximum price.

Can I speak to a tutor before booking a lesson?

Yes. You just need to create an account, open a tutor's profile and start a conversation. You can ask about their experience, their approach and their availability before you book anything.

What happens if we need to cancel?

More than 24 hours before the lesson you can cancel it yourself and nothing is charged. If the lesson starts within 24 hours, message your tutor and they can either refund or keep the fee for the time they set aside at their own discretion. If a tutor cancels, you are refunded in full.

What will you do with my email address?

We will email you when Learningly opens. We will not pass it to tutors or to anyone outside Learningly, and we will not sell it. If you change your mind, reply to any message from us or write to contact@learningly.co.uk and we will delete your details.
